In case you haven’t noticed I have a major obsession with smoothies and juices.
You may have also noticed that I haven’t been on my blog in a while.
I am currently in the middle of packing enough stuff for six months. You see we are going back to the States for the summer.
With this packing and crazy running around comes an urge to eat, and eat lots. Not so much healthy food but cookies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, old chocolate bars, you name it. If it’s junk food I’ll eat it.
I have too much stuff going on to really focus on my eating but today in the midst everything I realized that I should be taking care of myself.
It’s easy to forget to eat healthy, get enough sleep and stay hydrated when you’re worrying about if they’ll let you take your dog out of the country.
So I took a break from running around and plugged in my juicer.
I’ve had lots of ginger pear smoothies/juices and lots of chamomile pear smoothies/juices but never the two combined so I thought, why not give it a go?
Chamomile Ginger Pear Juice
(Makes 1 medium serving)
- 2 pears sliced
- 1 1/2 cups chamomile tea
- 1/2 inch of ginger
- 1 TB of chia seeds (optional)
Juice the pear and the ginger and then add the chia and tea.
Note: This was originally a smoothie recipe but it was too “chunky” for my taste so I changed it to a juice and liked it a lot better. Feel free to try either.
